League Descriptions

DSC_0330The Charlottetown Curling Club offers a variety of weekly leagues for curlers of all ages and skill levels. We are continually assessing our leagues offerings to accommodate our membership – see below for descriptions of the leagues available for the current season.

Adult Daytime League: Formerly the Senior’s League, this League is open to anyone over the age of 35.

Adult Getting Started League: This league is based on the Curling Canada Adult Learn to Curl Program. Geared towards first time or new curlers looking to learn how to curl (or how to curl better) with people at the same skill level as themselves. There will be a mix of instruction and games throughout the season as those in the league develop their skills.

Anything Goes League: This league is open to any member who wishes to play in a league with a social atmosphere. Get a few friends together and sign up for this fun and social league – it’s a great night out!

Commercial League: One of our most popular and long-running leagues! Get together a group of 4 or 5 from your company, or friends & family, to play on a weekly basis in a social league. This is a 19+ league.

Doubles League: Based on the Mixed Doubles format at the Olympics, we are opening this league up to teams of the same gender. Come on out and try it! You never know, you could love it and end up representing Canada at the 2022 Olympics!

Junior Daytime League: An opportunity for junior curlers to both practice and have some shortened games.

Rock Stars League : Open to new and younger junior curlers looking to develop their curling skills with instruction and game play.

Semi–Competitive League : Open to teams who are interested in representing the CCC at the Travelers Championship, as well as to Junior teams and Daytime teams. This league is designed for players who may not be on one of the top competitive teams but still want to play a meaningful game every week.

Super League: This league is for competitive teams who wish to play a weekly competitive game against the top teams in the province. This league is subject to an entry fee.

University/College League: Get your friends together and come enjoy some friendly competition against other faculties. Don’t have to be a member to play in this league. Additional fee applicable for non-members.
